NW TUC Celebrates Liverpool Capital of Culture

Throughout 2008, the TUC is celebrating Liverpool’s status as European Capital of Culture with a programme of events in the city. The programme will include:

• Our on-line photography competition, “Liverpool Working Lives”


• A Heritage Trail of the city visiting key locations and remembering Liverpool’s strong trade union legacy


• The production of a play based on Robert Tressell’s famous and groundbreaking book “The Ragged Trousered Philanthropists”


• Participation in the Liverpool Fringe Festival
